NYC BUS TRIP INFO.

Tickets available NOW
For 6 years now we’ve chartered a bus to see NYC at Christmas time. It goes to Times Square to let us shop and sightsee for several hours, then it takes us over to the East Village to rest and drink and see some live music. You’re back by around midnight, all for $45. (Reservation details below.)
The Bieber Bus picks up in Quakertown at 11:30am and Easton at 12 noon. It arrives in Times Square around 1:30pm. It leaves Times Square around 4:30 and goes to Otto’s Shrunken Head at 14th & Av A where we spend the rest of the night watching music and relaxing. There’s no cover, so you’re free to roam in and out. We leave Otto’s around 10pm to be home by midnight.
TIMES SQUARE at Christmas is magical. The bus lets off at Bryant Park’s Christmas Village and that alone is a sight to see but that’s just the beginning. The display windows, shops, the Big Tree. At Rockefeller Plaza watch the ice skaters while enjoying some hot chestnuts. Visit the original Macy’s of “Miracle on 34th St” fame. Typically there’s too much to enjoy…you welcome getting back on the bus, exhausted, with snacks, souvenirs, and stories. But that’s just HALF the fun….
EAST VILLAGE This is where you want to really eat and drink. There’s hundreds of spots, way cheaper than the Times Square tourist prices. I advise researching the area at home so you know what and where to go when your feet hit the ground, but I strongly recommend a beer at McSorely’s, one of the oldest and most historical places in the city. There’s Criff Dogs (as seen on Anthony Bourdain’s show) nearby, or just stroll St. Mark’s Place and see what appeals to you.
LIVE MUSIC at Otto’s Shrunken Head Tiki Bar is legendary. Home to much of the defunct CBGB’s scene (Google that if you never heard of it) it has been a main-stay of up and coming NY original artists and bands for decades. We stay for three acts at 7, 8, and 9 then leave at 10pm. This years bands:
7:00pm The Joe Mac Attack-Lehigh Valley guitarist Joe Mac has provided rip-roaring solos with Roman & The Heard in NYC for the past several years. He never misses this event. This year he brings his own over-the-top act to Otto’s to impress the city-dwellers. You won’t see this act in the Lehigh Valley!
8:00pm The “F.U.X.” What started as a joke in 1996 is still thriving 20 years later after tours of the US, UK, and Europe. The Fux opened up the doors to Otto’s years ago. Witness The Fux in their proper environment as they present new material, old favorites, and insane versions of songs you thought you knew.
9:00pm Frank Wood’s All Stars-Everyone in the NY music scene knows Frank Wood. He has been showcasing and presenting new bands his whole life in NY. His stories are endless. He’s seen them all, and he gathers some of the coolest and craziest to put on a must see “Christmas Musical” set. Again, only in NYC!
RESERVATIONS $45, cash or check, rain or shine, non-refundable. You reserve your seat by paying for it, preferably a month in advance (I need a head count.) The bus is BYOB, bathroom on board.
